LANSING, MI: Michigan Attorney General “Mike” Cox is a very big name, in the media and on the political scene, as a crusader against Deadbeat Parents. And few have objected. But many now say he has gone too far with his new “Billboard Contest” pitched at the children whose welfare he proclaims as his highest priority.

Spending millions of dollars drawn from corporate sponsors of the Pay Kids Foundation he set up for the purpose, Attorney General Mike Cox has put up billboards across the state of Michigan  to “send a message to deadbeat parents:  Either pay up or go to jail.”

Attorney General Mike Cox has tirelessly positioned himself as Michigan’s ultimate Champion of Children. Attorney General Mike Cox’s name is prominently displayed on every Pay Kids billboard.  Cox’s name is inseparably associated with every mention of Pay Kids, whether in the news, on the Pay Kids web site, or on the State’s own official web site.

There is no higher calling nor more sacred responsibility than protecting children.  But many are saying that Attorney General Mike Cox is actually performing  far more harm than protection for the children of Michigan.
